Current 18 Black athlete Gaven Hackley also joins the TCV staff as an assistant coach for the 2022-23 season.
Gaven has played for TCV since 2016 and brings a wealth of playing experience to his coaching role. Gaven helped lead the 18 Black team in the 2021-22 season to an undefeated in-state record in junior play (5 RMR Power Victories), a second place finish in 18 USA at the Florida Fest boys qualifier (the clubs first USAV boys bid to nationals) and an 8-2 record in the 18 USA Division at USA Volleyball Boys Nationals.
This season, Gaven was named to the AVCA High Risers List and was named to the inaugural RMR Boys All-Star team to compete at the USA Volleyball All-Star Championship.
Gaven plays high school volleyball at Douglas County High School and helped lead the Huskies to the first ever CHSAA state championship 2021. Gaven has also served as a team manager for the girls high school team at DC.
